BabelWeave Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By adding BabelWeave to your Discord server or using any of its commands, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, remove the bot from your server. If you add BabelWeave on behalf of a community, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that server.

2. Permitted use

BabelWeave is provided for legitimate multilingual community communication. You may not:

• Transmit spam, harassment, or unlawful content through the Service.
• Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or plan gating (e.g. by running duplicate instances).
• Reverse-engineer, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the bot or its output.
• Use the Service in violation of the Discord Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans (Pro, Premium) are sold as per-server subscriptions through Discord's native monetization platform. Discord processes all payments; BabelWeave never receives or stores your payment card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your server's subscription settings in Discord; access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable for partial periods.

4. Plan limits

Each plan includes a daily translation quota that resets at 00:00 UTC. Unused quota does not roll over. We may adjust plan features, quotas, or pricing with reasonable notice; changes do not affect the period you have already paid for.

5. Service availability

The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, or throttle/suspend access in cases of abuse, at our discretion.

6. Translation accuracy

Translations are generated by Google Gemini AI and may contain errors or omissions. BabelWeave does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose of translated content. Do not rely on it for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical communication.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BabelWeave and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BabelWeave and its operators from any claims or damages arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. disclaimers, liability limits) will survive.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
