Map text, announcement, forum, or media channels into a group — one language per channel.

Add a channel

/translate channel add group:global-chat channel:#english language:en

Supported types: text, announcement, forum, and media. Threads under a mapped parent are relayed automatically.

Remove

/translate channel remove channel:#english

Backfill Pro+

/translate channel backfill channel:#english limit:50

Walks recent history (1–100 messages or forum posts, default 50) and translates anything not already linked. Uses the same daily quota as live traffic.

Backfill is Pro and Premium only. Free servers see an upgrade prompt with Discord Subscribe buttons.

What gets relayed

Message body, plus forum/thread titles when relevant
Replies, with a jump to the matching translation when possible
Reactions, mirrored across sibling messages
Custom emoji and mentions, preserved where Discord allows

Bot and webhook messages are skipped so BabelWeave doesn’t loop on its own output. See troubleshooting if a channel is silent.
