Categories

For servers that give each language its own Discord category — English, Français, 中文, and so on.

Register a source category

Build one complete category in Discord first (channels, forums, permissions you like), then:

/translate category register category:🇬🇧 English language:en

Optional structure names a layout when you run more than one tree (e.g. community vs staff). Premium is required for multiple structures.

Clone Pro+

/translate category clone source:🇬🇧 English language:fr

Creates a new category, translates channel names, copies overwrites, and wires translation groups so each channel talks to its counterpart. Cloned groups leave category permission inheritance intact.

Maintain

/translate category list

/translate category sync

/translate category sync-names

sync reapplies visibility. sync-names renames mapped channels to native-language titles (limit with category: if you want one category only).

Unregister and purge

/translate category unregister category:🇫🇷 Français

Drops the registry entry; Discord channels stay.

/translate category purge language:fr

Unmaps a language from a layout so you can clone it again. Optionally pass structure or a specific category.

Small servers often skip this and use groups + channels only.
